How do I get Polari?

Polari is coming to the iPhone App Store. If you have questions in the meantime, write to hello@polari.fit.

Where's the iPhone app?

It's coming to the App Store soon. Until then, you can use the web app at app.polari.fit in any modern browser. Offline downloads are part of the iPhone app.

How do I delete my account?

In the app, go to Settings → Account → Delete my account. This permanently deletes your account and everything linked to it on our server, and wipes Polari's data from that phone. If you can't sign in, email hello@polari.fit from the address on your account and we'll delete it for you.

What's stored where?

On your phone only: your name or nickname, favourites, your copy of your ratings, personal greeting clips, and app settings like ambience.

On our server: your email and a one-way hash of your password, your settings and progress. Usage stats (only if you turned them on) and session ratings are stored without any link to you. The server is hosted by Microsoft Azure in Frankfurt, Germany.

The privacy policy lists every item, why it's kept and for how long.

How do I turn usage stats off?

Usage stats are off unless you turned them on. To turn them off, go to Settings → Privacy and switch off "Help improve Polari — share usage stats". That stops collection and deletes what was collected from that phone, including your "About you" answers. The setting is per phone.

Is Polari medical advice?

No. Polari is a wellness and pleasure practice, not medical advice. If you have persistent problems or anything that worries you (pain, erection or ejaculation problems), please see a doctor.

Who is Polari for?

Gay and bi men, and anyone who finds it useful, aged 18 or over. Creating an account requires confirming you're 18 or older, and we delete accounts we learn belong to someone younger.
